Abstract

774,847. Bobbins. TOYO RAYON KABUSHIKI KAISHA. July 14, 1955 [July 21, 1954], No. 20476/55. Class 120 (3). A bobbin comprises a paper or like outer tube 2 and a metal inner tube 1 combined by fitting the paper tube over the outer surface of the inner metal tube, the outer tube having its upper and formed with an inturned annular rim 3 therearound and the inner metal tube having its upper end inturned to form an annular shoulder 4 which underlies the rim 3 on the outer tube. An identification disc may be placed between the rim 3 and the shoulder 4. A notch 8 is provided for driving purposes. In a second embodiment a circumferential groove is provided around the lower part of the surface to attach the tubes 1 and 2 together, to engage a driving member, and also to receive initial thread windings.
