Class 86 Powder mixing apparatus comprises a vessel having three compartments 1, 2, 3 mounted on horizontal trunnions 7, 8 for rotation about a horizontal axis by an electric motor 12 through gearing in a housing 13. The compartments 1, 2 have covers 4, 5 for inspection and loading and the compartment 3 has an outlet valve 6. The compartments may be conical, as shown, or cylindrical.
