Abstract

772,140. Folding chairs ; head rests. BIRMINGHAM MANUFACTURERS & TRADERS, Ltd. Sept. 7, 1955 [Sept. 7, 1954], No. 25886/54. Class 52 (2). A head support attachment for a folding canvas chair comprises metal strip sidemembers 10 joined by a transverse top bar 11 having screwed ends and nuts 12 and a lower bar 13 with reduced ends 14 passing through holes 15, canvas 16 extending between the bars 11, 13 and the strips 10 having further holes 17 to fit the ends of bar 7 of the chair which, like the bars 2, 3 connecting the chair side frames, has threaded ends engaged by wing nuts 8. The ends 14 of bar 13 form stops to engage the strips 6 of the chair back frame and when not in use the attachment may be folded down to lie within the back frame.
