[Also in Groups X and XXXII] A door jamb comprises a fillister 2 rotatable about its longitudinal axis 4 and having a recess 25A along its surface into which the edge of the door, which has a shape complementary to the recess, fits. The fillister may be locked in the closed door position by mechanical or electromagnetic means. Means may also be provided to prevent the fillister being moved inadvertently to the closed position while the door is open. The arrangement may also be applied to sliding doors as shown in Fig. 12 or to circular doors as shown in Fig. 17. In the latter case the fillister comprises a number of contiguous elements 2, 2<SP>1</SP> threaded on an annulus 4. Each element, which is somewhat wedge-shaped in vertical section, has the same horizontal section as that of the fillister 2 and each is rotatable about its portion of the annulus which corresponds to the axis of the other forms.
