[Also in Group XXXIV] In order to secure, without welding, the radial web 1 of a brake shoe to an arcuate flange 4, to which the friction lining is secured, the arcuate flange 4 is formed with a groove 6 formed with beads 5 such that the beads 5 may be pressed into dove-tail cut-out portions 3 formed in the periphery 2 of the radial web 1.
