[Also in Group VI] An absorbent sheet 10, Fig. 3, impregnated with or carrying a treating agent, is sealed inside an envelope 12, Fig. 1, made of metal foil lined with a film of synthetic resin material which seals on the application of heat. The envelope may comprise two panels 12 of metal foil, such as aluminium foil, each lined with a thermoplastic film and sealed together at their edges. Alternatively a single lined panel formed into an envelope of substantially cylindrical shape may be used. The absorbent sheet 10 may be creped paper containing melamine resin as a wet strength agent. The paper may be applied to one or both faces of a sheet of non-absorbent material, such as a plastic sheet. The sheet 10 may be shaped and folded such that it has protruding portions to facilitate eventual unfolding. The package is applicable to cosmetics, cleansing agents, olfactory stimulants, humectants, astringents and anti-perspirants, antiseptic agents, medicaments, skin stimulants, evaporating agents, anti-sunburn agents, colouring matter, deodorants, drying agents, abrasive agents, polish and rust-proofing agents.
