761,291. Transformers. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. July 22, 1955 [July 22, 1954], No. 21401/54. Class 38 (2). A transformer has means for clamping the core laminations together, which means comprise a number of studs 2 each bent to an angle of 90 degrees, one limb 2a of each stud passing through holes in the laminations 1, the other limb 2b extending parallel with the laminations to form an abutment between which and a nut 4 on the limb 2a the laminations are clamped. Each stud passes through the laminations in alternate directions. The limbs 2b of one pair of studs pass through a chassis 5 so that the transformer can be mounted thereon by means of nuts 6. The limbs 2b of another pair of studs have a terminal board 7 similarly fixed thereto.
