Class 20(2) An I-section knee 5 has seatings at both ends for I-section beams 6 to which it is bolted. The seatings are formed by extensions 9 of the flange 7 of the knee, and the beams are bolted to these extensions and plates 14 on the other side are bolted to the knee and the beams. The webs of the beams and knee are connected by pairs of fish plates 17.
