Abstract

759,867. Spring clips; hooks. MYERS & SON, Ltd., M. March 2, 1955 [March 8, 1954], No. 6654/54. Classes 44 and 89 (2). A spring clip comprises the combination of a pair of pivotally interconnected jaws a, b, a hook al formed as an integral extension of one of the jaws a and so shaped that its free end is directed toward the other jaw b and a blade spring b2 extending from the other jaw b and having its free end slidably supported on a receding part of the surface of the hook. The jaw a is formed with a pair of pivots a<SP>2</SP> on opposite sides and the jaw b is formed with two lugs b<SP>l</SP> one on each side, each of which engages one of the pivots a<SP>2</SP>. The central part of the jaw b is longitudinally slit or slotted to provide the blade spring b<SP>2</SP> and the end of the blade spring engages a shallow channel in the inner side of the hook al. The ends of the jaws a and b may be serrated or smooth.
