759,669. Internal shoe-drum brakes. KELSEY-HAYES WHEEL CO. Dec. 15, 1954 [Jan. 18, 1954], No. 36321/54. Class 103 (1). An internal shoe-drum brake, normally operable by a fluid-pressure cylinder 5, may also be actuated mechanically by a member 15 of channel section, as shown in Fig. 3, which pivots about the underside of shoe connecting link 9 by pin 17 and also bears against the side of the notched wheel 11 by which the shoes may be adjusted for clearance. The notched wheel 11 is retained in any given position by engagement of its teeth by the spring.
