Abstract
755,713. Mounting electrical equipment. TELEPHONE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Dec. 6, 1954, No. 35288/54. Addition to 738,642. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] In an arrangement for mounting equipment of the kind described in the parent Specification, the chassis has at least two rear portions hinged so as to be capable of angular movement relative both to each other and to the fixed front portion, thereby giving easy access to the components mounted thereon. In one embodiment, Fig. 5, the upper rear portion is hinged at 1a to the front plate 17 and the lower rear portion is hinged at 1 to a bracket attached to the front plate. Alternatively this bracket may be omitted and the lower rear portion may be hinged directly on to the front plate. The movable members may be secured by a screw 76 located at the centre of the rear face or the screw may be located at the rear of the top edge. In a further modification, Fig. 9, the rear members may be hinged to each other at 1c the top member only being hinged to the front plate and the securing screw 17 fastening the lower member to the front plate. A further hinged may be provided at the top rear comer. Alternatively hinges may be provided at both top and bottom rear comers, the hinge 1a being replaced by a further securing screw.
