754,790. Ventilating. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP NEDERLANDSE AIRCONDITIONING MIJ GEB. VAN SWAAY. July 10, 1954, No. 20227/54. Class 137. A ventilating and air conditioning arrangement, particularly for use in marine installations, comprises a centrifugal fan 2 installed in a fan. room 1 and having a discharge duct 3, 5 accommodating a heating coil 4 and leading to the rooms to be conditioned, recirculated air from these rooms returning through a duct 6 leading directly to the room 1, or to an enclosed space 10 leading to a supply duct 11 for outside air which is supplied to the room 1, and thus to the fan 2; by an auxiliary unit 15. The latter comprises a filter 12, a cooler 13, and a propeller booster fan 14. An adjustable damper 7 mounted between the space 10 and the duct 6 regulates the distribution of recirculated air passing directly to the fan 2 and to the auxiliary unit 15. If the cooling coil 13 is switched off the fan 14 is likewise put out of operation, the fresh air then passing through the passage 10 to mix with the recirculating air entering the room 1 directly.
