Air is circulated through a main motor 14, 18 by a fan 11 driven by an auxiliary motor 12 whose speed is independent of that of the main motor, and a switch responsive to the speed of the auxiliary is included in the main motor circuit so that the latter can be energized only when the fan speed is such as to produce adequate cooling. As shown, a centrifugal switch 27 on the auxiliary motor shaft is utilized.
