Abstract

748,202. Discharge apparatus. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 21, 1954 [April 24, 1953], No. 11534/54. Class 39 (1). A getter holder is formed of two metal parts 1, 2 enclosing a space between them, the part 2 comprising a duct 3 extending well within the enclosed space, and communicating with the space outside the holder, the getter material, such as a pellet 4, being remote from the inner end of the duct. The getter holder may be inverted, Fig. 2 (not shown), in which case the getter material may be a ring secured round the base of the duct. Several narrow ducts may be provided.
