714,562. Discharge apparatus. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Nov. 20, 1952 [Nov. 23, 1951], No. 29355/52. Class 39(1) [Also in Group XI] A metal cap which is secured with the use of adhesive to the wall of an object, e.g. an electric discharge tube, is characterized in that the surface of the cap which is in contact with the adhesive comprises at least one projection or burr formed by turning up strips of the material from the surface; preferably the inner side of the cap is provided with a ring of projections. Fig. 1 shows a discharge tube provided with a top cap 2 provided with projections 4, and a centring cap 5 provided with projections 6.
