Abstract
741,866. Moulds for concrete. KIRCHNER, I. A. Oct. 2, 1952 [March 19, 1952], No. 24682/52. Class 87 (2). Apparatus for the production of elongated concrete elements comprises rows of mould-forming partitions 5 secured to a lower working platform the upper horizontal surfaces 33 of the partitions forming a further working plantform from which concrete is poured into the mould spaces between the partitions. Brackets 7 and gaps 4 between the beams 1, 2 forming the lower platform serve to position the partitions 5. The lower platform is completed by means of planks 3. The partitions 5 have collapsible handles 16 and wedge-shaped projections 15 which leave recesses 24, Fig. 4, in the moulded elements. The projections 15 may be shaped to produce recesses 29, Fig. 4, of modified form in which case it is necessary to make the partitions 5 collapsible to enable them .to be withdrawn. The collapsible partition shown at the left-hand side of Fig. 1 has a detachable top portion 33 and double side portions 30 which are held apart by removable distance pieces 32. The moulds are longitudinally subdivided by boxes 8 which are provided with slots 22 to accommodate the longitudinal reinforcement 17. Hinged bars 9 having recessforming projections 12 on their underside extend transversely across the top of the assembly and maintain the spacing of the partitions 5. The moulds are closed by means of strips 13 which also carry recess-forming projections 14.
