Abstract

734,619. Wall and ceiling linings. ARCON (PROPRIETARY), Ltd. Feb. 3, 1954 [Feb. 3, 1953], No. 3051/53. Class 20 (4). Building-boards 1 for wall or ceiling linings or partitions are secured between rails 3 and 4 by bolts 7 and nuts 6, the rail 4 having channel portions 5 and 6 to accommodate the nuts 6 and the ends of the bolts 7 respectively and a flanged extension 11 on which are mounted slotted clips 14 securable to a flange 17 of a member of the wall or ceiling to be lined. The clips 14 are secured to the extension 11 and the flange 17 by set-screws one of which, 15, is shown. In modification the nuts and bolts 6 and 7 may be replaced by screws which engage in a narrow channel in the rail 4 provided in place of channels 5 and 8. Modified forms of clips 14 are shown in Figs. 4 and 5. In Fig. 4 the clip comprises two plates 19 each at one end being provided with T-shaped slots to engage with the head of the extension 11, the flange 17 being clamped between the other ends of the plates 19 as shown. In Fig. 5 the clip comprises a channel member 22 with set-screws 26 and threaded studs 24 are welded to the flange 17. A stud 24 is engaged in a central threaded hole in the member 22 and the setscrews 26 are tightened against the head of the extension 11.
