[Also in Group VI] A rotary conical valve for regulating the draining off of wort from a clarifying vat (see Group VI) comprises a casing, having a main outlet 13 and a lateral outlet 12, and a plug 11 having an axial bore 14, a radial bore 15 and a smaller radial bore 16. The bore 15_can be brought into register with either the outlet 13 or the outlet 12, but the bore 16 can only be brought into register with the outlet 13. The plug or its handle 17 may carry a mark which indicates, relative to a mark on the casing, the setting in which the bore 15 is only in part-register with the outlet 13.
