[Also in Group XXXIII] A jet motor for driving a rotary wing blade is shown in Fig. 13, the hollow spar 1 of the wing serving as a compressed air duct, and a pipe 43 secured to a balance weight 13 delivers fuel to the burner 44. Primary air enters through aperture 45a, and secondary air through holes 45b. The jet engine forms a separate unit, a flanged air inlet 34 fitting into spar 1 and being retained in position by bolts 33.
