Abstract

722,310. Mixing appliances. WINSTED HARDWARE MANUFACTURING CO. July 21, 1952 [Feb. 19, 1952], No. 8024/54. Divided out of 722,294. Class 86. The beaters of a food and beverage mixer comprise a pair of rotatable blade assemblies 20, Figs. 2 and 3, each having downwardly and inwardly inclined side portions 22, outwardly bowed in cross-section, which induce a lateral circulation of material, and lateral bottom portions 24 which are inclined transversely to their length to induce an upright circulation of material and are slightly inclined with respect to the axis of rotation so that the upright circulation is slightly vertically inclined. The two heaters 20 rotate in opposite directions with the result that the upright circulations produced by the portions 24 of the respective beaters are in opposite directions. The blade assembly 20 is secured to a shaft 26 by a rivet 28, a collar 30 and an interposed bushing 31.
