720,997. Washing-boilers &c. ENGELBRECHT, M. June 17, 1953 [Oct. 29, 1952], No. 16721/53. Class 64 (1). A liquid-circulating device for a washing- boiler &c. comprises a riser tube 2 which has at the top a nozzle 6 through which the liquid sprays out and a somewhat funnel-shaped hood 7 which in conjunction with the nozzle acts as injector to draw air into and break up the emerging liquid stream. In the form shown, a cap 5 adjustably carried by a rod 4 is spaced from the open top of the tube to form the nozzle 6, and the hood 7 is spaced above the cap 5 to form an air passage. The tube 2 is telescopic. In a modification, the tube is closed at the top, and has a ring of laterally directed tapering nozzles each surrounded by a frustoconical member to form an injector.
