720,734. Spare-wheel holders. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AKT. -GES. Feb. 20, 1953 [March 8, 1952], No. 4830/53. Class 136(1). In a spare-wheel holder for motor vehicles capable of being swung and drawn out, a shaft 5 mounted on consoles 2, 3, 4 carried by the vehicle frame 1 is firmly connected with the limbs 7 of a swinging console 9 carrying the spare wheel mounting and a stirrup-like handle 8 between the limbs 6 of which there is mounted a swingable cup 25 which is so constructed that it surrounds the cylinder piston 27 of a jack, the casing of which can be placed preferably in a supporting seat 28 which is swingingly suspended on the chassis of the motor vehicle. The limbs 7 of the console 9 are connected by a stay 11. Rollers 10 are mounted on the limbs 7 to support a slider 12 having slide bars 13 which are connected by a bar 14 having a handle 15. A stay 16 is welded to the bar 14 and stiffened strips 17 are provided on the parts 14, 16 to support the inner rim of the spare wheel 29.
