720,418. Automatic current-control systems. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. May 27, 1952 [June 29, 1951], No. 13361/52. Addition to 673,410. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXIX] The high-tension supply to a pair of discharge electrodes 4, 6, the positive electrode 6 being earthed, and forming part of an electrostatically charged paint sprayer, is automatically regulated to maintain the discharge current constant by utilizing the voltage drop across a resistor 257 in the positive return line to bias the control grids of the parallel-connected oscillator valves 233, 234. The oscillator output is coupled by transformer 250 and voltage-tripling rectifiers 252, 253, 254 to the negative electrode 4. Specification 530,917 is referred to.
