719,244. Baths. KELLER, J. March 28, 1952 [March 29, 1951], No. 8011/52. Class 26. [Also in Group XXX] A portable lifting device for invalids or disabled persons adapted to be removably disposed on the bottom of a bath has a seat associated with a pressure chamber or cylinder which is connected to a supply pipe to raise the seat to the level of the edge of the bath and to an outlet pipe to lower the seat to the bottom of the bath. As shown, the pressure chamber consists of a multiple telescoping cylinder 2 with a seat 9, connected by a flexible pipe 3 to a three-way cock 4 associated with a pressure supply pipe 5 and drain pipe 6. Alternatively, the seat may be raised and lowered by pairs of hydraulic cylinders mounted diagonally on a frame, or by a hydraulic bellows.
