Class 98(1) An X-ray cassette comprises an envelope made of flexible paper-like packing material and containing an X-ray film, the sensitized surface of the film being in contact with a thin intensifying layer which is pervious to X-rays and covers substantially the whole area of the film. The intensifying layer may be formed on the packing material, and may comprise a layer of lead.
