713,065. Rollerway conveyers. INDUSTRIEEN HANDELSONDERNEMING VAN WIJK EN LANFERS. Oct. 4, 1952, No. 10763/50. Class 78 (1) Articles, e.g. milk churns, are supported on a plurality of rollers 1, along which they are propelled by a co-extending endless chain 2 having upstanding projections. 4 which engage the articles inside their lower flanges 5. The chain 2 is preferably situated between two sets of rollers arranged side by side with their axles in line. The driving sprocket 3 is placed beyond the end of the rollerway so that the articles are delivered on tu a flat support bounded by a curved or right angled guide (not shown) which directs them on to a further similar rollerway at an angle to the first rollerway. Endless chains 2 may be provided only at intervals along a rollerway. In a preferred embodiment, Fig. 5, the endless chain 2 is an oval link chain and the projections 4 consist of interposed circular links. The chain is guided in a U-shaped guide 7 in which are located the bearings for the inner ends of the aligned axles 8 of each pair of side by side rollers 1.
