Abstract

712,931. Reservoir pens. WAGNER, E. V. Nov. 10, 1952 [Feb. 1, 1952; March 21, 1952], Nos. 2768/52 and 7369/52. Class 146(3) A reservoir pen, especially as described in Specification 712,920, has a feed bar b of a material which is of a yielding nature as compared with that of a nose g which surrounds the nib and feed bar b.. The nose g may be moulded from polystyrene and the feed bar may be of polythene, rubber, or polyvinyl chloride. The feed bar, on account of its resilience, is permitted to bend during assembly of the nose on the pen. The feed bar is preferably of lenticular cross-section with a convergent front end b7 terminating in an axial tongue b<SP>1</SP> underlying the nib. A shallow air channel b8, Fig. 7, is provided in the underside of the feed bar. Small pads b9 space the feed bar from the nose g, while the ridges b4 may space the nib from the feed bar.
