712,636. Mounting windows in walls. APPLEBE, A., [Representative of NEEL, E.], THOMAS, R., and GEAR, A. M. Nov. 4, 1952 [Sept. 5, 1951], No. 20963/51. Class 20 (3) Means for mounting window frames in walls include horizontal rails 4 and clamps 6, Fig. 2, 20, Fig. 4, or 23, Fig. 5. In the form shown in Fig. 2 the clamps are slidable along the rails 4 and are bolted to mullions 11 to which the window frames are secured. In the forms shown in Figs. 4 and 5 the clamps are carried by the window frames 8 themselves and on being tightened grip the flange of the rail between them and the frames. Flashings 13 and transome 27 may be secured by nipping them between the frames and the clamps.
