Class 74 (2) A device to stop or act to avoid damage to a machine in the event of a fault in a pattern chain, comprises a pivoted bar 8 having gates 9 through which studs 2 on the chain normally pass. Should a stud 2 be dis. placed or the chain be distorted, the bar 8 will be contacted and moved to operate the stop motion &c.
