Class 12(3) The body 1 of an element for allocating lubricant from a central lubricating plant to one of a number of lubricating points has a bore 3 closed at both ends and communicating through openings 11, 15 on the body 1 with the pump for lubricant and the part to be lubricated, respectively. The bore 3 contains a piston 2 formed with a bore 8 to receive a spring-pressed hollow control piston 10. The stroke of the piston 2 is limited by stops 16, 17, the stop 17 being eccentrically secured to a rotatable shaft 24 so that its position may be adjusted. Lubricant under pressure passes through the inlet 11 and through a passageway 13 into the bore 8 and displaces the control piston 10 so that the bore 8 communicates by channels 20, 21 with the chamber 3. Both pistons 2, 10, are then moved downwardly and lubricant is expressed from the chamber 6 through the outlet 15 to the part to be lubricated. Pressure is then relaxed on the conduit 12 and the spring 9 presses back the pistons 2, 10, the passage 19 on the piston 10 communicating with the channel 20 whereby lubricant above the piston 2 is caused to move down to the chamber 6 in position for subsequent discharge at the next cycle of operations. In a modification the bore 3 is closed at the bottom by a member formed with a passage for lubricant to a part to be lubricated, the outlet 15 being closed by a plug.
