705,001. Centrifugal machines. SCHOTTLE, R., [trading as SCHOTTLE KOMMANDITGES.R.] Dec. 6, 1951 [Dec. 6, 1950], No. 28607/51. Class 23 [Also in Group VI] Fruit is pulped by pressing the fruit in a hopper 8 against the rough bottom of a centrifuge cage 5 the juice then escaping through the sieve part 5<SP>1</SP> of the cage to an outlet 12 while the remaining pulp is scraped off by a scraper 16 which may deliver it through a channel collector 14 in a housing cover 23 to another outlet 15. The scraper 16 is moved near the inner periphery of the sieve by a hand knob 17 and may be returned by a spring. The scraper may be shovel shaped and may be yieldingly mounted to approach the cage wall under the pressure of the fruit pulp, or it may be so shaped that such pressure moves it away from the cage after being turned in by hand and then released. The top of the pulp collecting channel may be hingeable upwards to allow access for cleaning.
