Abstract

704,975. Piezo-electric crystals. PYE, Ltd. March 5, 1952 [Feb. 19, 1951], No. 3970/51. Class 40 (8) A quartz crystal 1 having conducting electrodes 2 formed on both surfaces is secured to an insulating plate 4 provided with contacts 5 by applying a conducting paste between the contacts 5 and the electrodes 2 and hardening the paste so that it forms conducting supports. The paste may be made of a silver compound mixed with a reducing agent. It is applied to holes 7 a the ends of contacts 5 and is baked to harden it. The contacts 5 may be made of silver paste. Two of the units shown in Fig. 4a may be mounted back to back in a glass envelope.
