Abstract

704,429. Venting; container closures. VAN LEER'S VATENFABRICKEN N.V. Feb. 21, 1952. No. 4620/52. Classes 21 and 125 (3) A vent tube 13, Fig. 1, emerges near the pouring orifice 12 of a liquid container, a surrounding wall 15, 18 directing any liquid escaping from the vent tube into the main stream flowing from orifice 12 when the container is being emptied. A closure 19 hinged at 20 has a rubber ring 22 for sealing. In the modification shown in Figs. 2, 3, the pouring orifice 36 is defined by an internal wall 35 which extends to the vent tube 33.
