703,825. Valves. TANNOCK, J. C., and PLASTOMATIC, Ltd. June 26, 1952 [May 27, 1952], No. 13438/52. Class 135 In a valve jumper of the kind comprising a head 11 and a stem 10 moulded in one piece from plastic material. e.g. polythene, or rubber with a reinforcing plate 17 of metal or other rigid material seating against the back of the head and surrounding the stem, the plate 17 has a depending circumferential flange 18 which is of such a length that it does not contact the valve seat 19 until after the head 11 has obturated the passageway. The plate 17 may be provided with an integral sleeve enclosing the stem. The head 11 may be made as in Specification 696,798.
