701,464. Clamps. CRANE, Ltd. (Crane Co.). Aug. 7, 1951, No. 18611/51. Class 61 A tool for assembling baseboard sections of radiators and for other purposes comprises levers 1 and 2 provided at one end with inwardly inclined jaw portions 15, 16 the levers being connected by a U-shaped band 3 which is fixed to the lever 2 and embraces the lever 1, pivotal movement of the jaws being effected by a cam 9 pivoted at 12 in a recess in the upper end of the arm 2. The levers are adjustably and resiliently connected near their gripping ends by a screw 5 and nut 7, a spring 6 being interposed between the jaws. The jaws are brought towards each other by swinging the handle 10 downwards thus causing the cam which is guided in the band 3 to bear on the pad 14 carried by the arm 1.
