Class 6 (1) A device for coupling an implement to a tractor of the kind provided with a power unit which rocks a shaft a which is provided with laterally spaced arms b which are connected by links b' to laterally spaced towing links b<SP>2</SP> comprises a jaw e fixed on the towing links b<SP>2</SP> and a locking plate m fixed on a pair of links j which are pivoted on the hook member and are attached to a central top link i which is pivoted on a lever h which is fixed to the shaft a. The geometry of the linkwork is such that when the side links b<SP>2</SP> are lowered the locking plate m is in the position shown in Fig. 1 thus allowing a hitch member n to be received in the hook c. When the links b<SP>2</SP> are raised to the towing position the locking plate assumes a position in which it closes the recess in the hook member c thus locking the hitch member n in position on the hook e.
