699,837. Spectacle frames. KIMMEL, G. P., and CROWELL, A. H. June 18, 1951 [May 2, 1951], No. 14457/51. Class 97 (i). A spectacle frame of the splitrim type has rim-latching means comprising a lug on one end of the rim having pivoted thereto one end of a lever, and a link pivotally connected at one end to an intermediate portion of the lever and at the other end to a second lug provided at the other end of the rim. As shown the rim 25 is split at 27 and has, at one side of the split a lug 33 to which is pivoted a lever 30 having pivoted thereto at 34 a link 35 pivoted at 36 to the other side of the split. By rotation of the lever the rim may be readily opened for the replacement of the lens. The end 38 of the lever may, in the closed position thereof, enter a slot in the rim 25 and be held therein against accidental movement,
