Abstract
697,767. Stands for picnic utensils. CAMPBELL, F. Sept. 3, 1952 [Sept. 4, 1951], No. 20814/51. Class 52(iii) A device for supporting vacuum flasks, cups &c, comprises a retaining ring formed from a wire loop the ends of which are bent at right angles to the plane of the ring to provide a leg or legs which can be forced into the ground. As shown, the ends of a wire loop a are bent to form legs B which are reinforced by transverse wires b<SP>2</SP> and a second ring b<SP>3</SP> preventing insertion too far into the ground. In a modification the legs depending from a corrugated wire ring are welded together and pass through a disc which supports the base of a cup or beaker too small in diameter to be held by the loop a. When used on an impenetrable surface three or more devices may be linked together by a clip or integral catch to form a stable unit.
