Abstract

697,047. Electric clocks. KOOPERATIVA FORBUNDET, FORENING U.P.A. May 30, 1951, No. 12764/51. Class 139 [Also in Group XXIV] The toothed rotor 2 of a synchronous electric motor drives the hour-hand wheel 5 and the minute-hand shaft 6 of an electric clock through cascade epicyclic eccentric gearing. The rotor is enclosed by pole shoes 1 connected by a yoke on which is mounted the energizing coil 4, and is mounted in a casing having stepped infernal teeth 8. The shaft 6 concentrically supports the rotor 2, the wheel 5 which carries the hour-hand and has internal teeth 10, and two intermediate wheels each having also internal teeth 10. Eccentric hubs 12 on the rotor 2 and on the intermediate wheels gyrate three stepped planetary gears whose teeth 7 engage the fixed teeth 8 and whose teeth 9 drive the internally toothed wheels. The shaft 6 is secured, as shown, to the intermediate wheel on the left of Fig. 3.
