694,668. Resilient mountings. GIRLING, Ltd. Jan. 2, 1952 [Jan. 11, 1951], No. 780/51. Class 108 (iii). A mounting or anchorage for the stem a of a telescopic shock-absorber, comprises a pair of rubber washers c lying on opposite sides of an apertured plate b, and confined between spaced abutments e, the washers c being of elongated rectangular, oval, or equivalent cross-section in plan view (Fig. 4). Each washer c has projections d which (before assembly) are slightly greater in depth than half the thickness of the plate b. Also before assembly, the plateengaging surface of each washer slopes transversely, as shown in Figs. 4 and 5.
