692,864. Drawing arrangements. WUERTTEMBERG SPINDELFABRIK GES. Jan. 27, 1950, No. 2232/50. Classes 120(ii) and 120(iii) ' A self-aligning device for the drawing rollers of textile spinning machines, said machines having at least one pair of pressure rollers, the pressure of which on the drawing rollers is adjustable by means of a weighted pendulum arm, is provided, for adjusting the nip pressure necessary for slip-free drawing, with indicator devices which give a visual indication of any deviation of the pressure roller from the position in which it lies with its axis parallel to the axis of the driving roller. As shown, the spindle 1 of pressure rollers 8 is mounted in known manner upon a weighted pendulum arm 2 which is pivoted on a spindle 3 On each side of the arm 2 is provided an adjustable stop 4 so disposed that the machine operator can readily observe the narrow chinks or slits of light between the arm 2 and the stops 4 and thus detect any deviation of parallelism between the axes of the pressure rollers and the driving rollers due to slip of a roving therebetween or as a result of uneven wear of the pressure rollers.
