686,853. Applicators for grease and viscid substances. PEARCE, A. May 9, 1950 [May 16, 1949], No. 11568/50. Class 28 (i). [Also in Group XVII] An applicator for grease or the like comprises a flexible bulbous container 10 having an attached relatively stiff neck 13 with a slot 17, through which the grease may be extruded when the container is squeezed, and a semi-rigid tongue 18, whereby the grease may be spread, e.g. on the inside of a pan. As shown, the neck 13 is screwed to a collar 12 integral with the container and a stopper 20 with an enlarged head 21 is provided to close the slot 17.
