Class 122(i) [Also in Group XXVIII] In a compressor, particularly for refrigerant, comprising a casing 1 attached to the casing of a prime mover and having a cylinder containing a piston 18 rigid with a pitman 17 mounted on an eccentric 8, the piston comprises a spherical segment belonging to a sphere equal in diameter to the cylinder bore and enclosed between two parallel planes spaced equidistant from a diametral plane of the sphere.
