Abstract

681,397. Compressors. HYMATIC ENGINEERING CO. May 22, 1951 [May 30, 1950], No. 13451/50. Class 8 (i). A gas compressor comprises a diaphragm a, actuated by a crank pin m in a crank case b, whose periphery is clamped between the crank case and a head d containing a delivery valve body c having holes c extending therethrough and communicating through radial ports f with a circumferential groove in which is mounted under tension a resilient ring g forming the delivery valve, the gas being supplied through the crank case and through ports n in the diaphragm which are controlled by resilient disc valve i. The compressor is driven by an electric motor p which may be controlled by a pressure switch bolted to the head. An inlet filter q and pressure gauge s are provided. The filter may be adapted to purify the incoming air so making the compressor suitable for food processing or beer raising.
