Abstract

678,769. Diaper covers. MILES, M. L. June 16, 1950, No. 15173/50. Class 141. A diaper cover comprises a band portion having fastener components 12, 12a, Fig. 1, secured to the inner face of the ends 2, 2a thereof, and a rectangular body portion 1 attached at one end to the band to define a T-shaped garment, complementary fastener components being secured to the outer face of the body portion 1 adjacent the unattached end to retain the cover in position in wear. Loops 9, 10, preferably detachable at one or both ends, extend across the inner face of the cover and are adapted to retain a folded diaper. Reinforcing strips 3, 4 may be provided at the ends of the cover and the body part 1 may be shaped by darts 1b. The cover may be made adjustable in size by providing series of 'fastener components, e.g. snap fasteners on a reinforcing strip, selectively engaged by the components 12, 12a. The cover is preferably of waterproof material but may be of absorbent multi-ply material.
