Abstract

676,201. Concrete piles. HOMEWOOD, L. S. G. Jan. 18, 1950. [Sept. 21, 1948. Nov. 30, 1948] Nos. 24720/48 and 31095/48. Class 68 (ii). The lower ends of the shuttering 1 of cast in situ concrete piles rest on a loose plug shoe 7 which is driven and has anchorages 8 for high tensile reinforcing wires 9 which pass through apertures in a plate 10 resting on top of the shuttering. The wires are tensioned by a jack 11 operating a cross-head 12 to which the wires are anchored. The tensioned wires are secured in the plate 11 by wedge clips 13 and after the concrete has set they are cut.
