Classes 79(iii) and 79(v) In a motor road vehicle, in which the driver's foot space is forward of the front axle and of the power unit and the power unit is arranged in the region of the driver's cabin under, alongside or behind the driver's seat, two longitudinal members of the vehicle frame are extended without interruption and on both sides of the central longitudinal vertical plane of the vehicle forwardly of the driver's foot space and the steering means, the control pedals and the gear lever are mounted upon the extended longitudinal members or upon a transverse member inter-connecting the longitudinal members. As shown the chassis frame comprises the longitudinal members a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>11</SP> and transverse members p, b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>11</SP>, the transverse members b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>11</SP> being disposed respectively forwardly and rearwardly of the front and rear axles e, f and being connected with the axles by helical springs. The control pedals s and the steering column q carrying the change speed gear lever r are mounted on the transverse member p. A load receptacle I and the driver's cabin m are detachably mounted on the chassis frame, the seat in the latter being disposed above the engine c and the floor being disposed above the frame members.
