Abstract

1,150,331. Motor vehicles. JOHNSTON BROS. (ENG.) Ltd., and J. P. WILLETT. 17 May, 1966 [26 May, 1965], No. 22334/65. Headings B7H and B7J. A vehicle for laying road making material such as grit has a driver's seat 14 and steering wheel 15 so mounted on a structure 16 as to be adjustable transversely to the direction of travel of the vehicle. The seat structure 16 is movable on beams 12, 13 by means of wheels 19, 20. The steering, clutch and brakes are operated by hydraulic units connected to the seat and steering unit by flexible conduits and a throttle lever is connected to the throttle mechanism by a flexible cable.
