Abstract

669,501. Clutches. PORSCHE KONSTRUKTIONEN GES. March 1, 1950 [March 5, 1949], No. 5161/50. Addition to 653,328. Class 80 (ii). The synchronising device of the parent Specification for facilitating engagement between dogs 4 on a sliding sleeve 3 and dogs 6 on gears 5 is modified by centering the friction synchronising rings 8, 9 when not engaging by means of rings 28, 31 screwed into the sleeve 3 and engaging shoulders 16, 17 on the rings 8, 9 respectively. The rings 8, 9 are further located circumferentially by lugs 26, 27 integral with the sleeve 3 engaging the slotted ends of the rings.
