664,853. Cartons or boxes. METAL BOX CO., Ltd., and STREATER, G. H. Feb 1, 1950. [May 6, 1949] No. 12180/49. Class 18. A box made of foldable material, e.g. cardboard, strawboard or millboard and having end walls 3 of greater height than its side walls 2 has inwardly extending flaps 5 supported horizontally by integral stays 6, so that another box may be stacked thereon, and end wall wings 4 which overlie and extend above the end portions of the side walls, the box being held erect by interengaging wing tongues 9 and V- shaped slots in the walls 2. The box is made from an integral blank and, after filling, it may be enclosed in a transparent wrapper. The stays 6 are partially held in position by portions 11 of the side walls that are pressed inwards by insertion of the tongues 9.
